Participant Testimonials
Don't take our word for it! Hear from actual high school students about Chuck's Round Table!
I loved how Kylie taught us about our country and its history while still remaining soft and respectful, making sure we understand the topic before she moves on. - Toni from Canarsie
Two things I loved about Kylie — the conversations were always interesting and she always kept the flow of the conversation going — even in the most serious of topics - Angie from Canarsie
Kylie was so patient with us, taking her time to share her knowledge with us. Us as high schoolers got to talk about real life topics in our world. - Mohammed from Canarsie
The class was very interactive, everyone always participated and had a say! Kylie made us all feel welcomed and almost like she was our friend. - Demari from Canarsie
I really loved this program. It opened my eyes to understand problems I never knew the cause of. I really liked all the topics and I was always excited for the next one. The presentations and videos helped me, a visual learner. My other classes are super hard on us… but with Kylie, we learn the same things but get a hands on experience with activities that help prepare us for exams! - Madison from East New York
This class is excellent so far. I love the engaging conversations and debates. It has helped me open my perspective to other ideas. The class is fun and engaging we do hands on learning and compared to my other classes, this class allows me to go in depth about history and politics while we discuss it. - Melvin from East New York
Our trip to the UN in NYC and then Washington D.C. was a great experience! We got to see all the places we only see on TV and meet an actual congressmember! We learned so much. - Shaykayla from Bed-Stuy
